Graduation

The end of the 25th year of my ‘formal’ education is here. Another milestone reached. I have had mixtures of feelings: happy, excited, anticipating, nervous, anxious, and also sad at the same time. I was feeling a bit down because the person I cared about the most and had gone through the difficult moments after all these years with was not there with me at the time of my success.  I have to remind myself to remain positive and only look forward.  On a side note, I have won the prestigious clinical excellence award I’ve never dreamed of.  I guess it is the small thing like this that keeps me going. The rest of the month, I will have more free time, which I’ve planned to write the grant proposal as well as getting all the paper work in place.

It’s 85 degrees in SF today. Time to start the next chapter of my life…
